Dressage Clinician D.J. Cairns

DJ Cairns is an accomplished dressage rider and instructor from Grayson, Sk.

DJ has successfully shown many different breeds at the Regional and National level in dressage. As she says "she shows in the dressage arena on the weekend and her horses work cows on her ranch during the week". She trains all breeds of horses.

DJ rode for many years with Roy Yates who is considered one of the original masters of Western Dressage. She has also spent significant time with Dale Irwin, Gina Allen and other top dressage riders.

She is a graduate of Olds College and has trained in dressage barns, reining barns and in Europe.

DJ is a well respected clinician who welcomes all breeds and all styles of riding. DJ believes all horses and riders benefit from the practice of dressage, no matter what breed or discipline. Her program focuses on proper positioning of both horse and rider to obtain maximum performance.

DJ has started and trained several horses that have gone on to be valuable partners and consistent winners as high as PSG level for their adult amateurs.

She has many National Championships, Reserve Championships and Top Tens on a variety of owned and client horses. Her students have also attained National placings as well.

Polocrosse Clinician Benn Armstrong

Benn Armstrong is Australian born and moved to Canada 23 years ago. He is married to Jillian and has an 8 year old son Archer, and they reside at Kenosee Lake. SK.

Benn was raised in a horse family and his grandmother was the first female quarter horse judge in Australia. His mother was champion rider and Benn and his 2 brother grew up with their mother a state level pony club judge as their personal coach.

Benn went through all levels of pony club completing at state level in Dressage and 3 Day Eventing. Benn and his brothers were all multi Champion and Supreme Champion riders in NSW.

When the boys were 16 they were introduced to Polocrosse and fell in love with the sport. Eight years aga Benn helped start the Saskatoon and Moose Mountain Polocrosse Clubs. He is the President of the Bridge City Polocrosse Club and is also the international delegate for the American Australian Stock Horse Society. Benn plays competative at the top level in Canada, he also breeds and trains his own line of Polocrosse and sport horses.

Benn recently started breeding the amazing Australian Stock Horses "the breed for every need" and owns Yarraman Park Australian Stock Horses where he stands the stallion Stoney Lonesome Ele Jeffe - one of only two in Canada.

Benn is a passionate horse person who has valuable experience across a variety of disciplines and loves to spend his spare time teaching others about polocrosse.
