Congratulations to Amber Hrynkiw, the recipient of the Dr Byrnne Rothwell Memorial Scholarship for 2017.  This award is presented in the memory of Dr Byrnne Rothwell in recognition of the contributions he made to the equine industry within the province of Saskatchewan.

 

Originally from Moose Jaw, SK, Amber graduated from Central Collegiate in 2016 with honours.  Over the years she has participated in numerous equine activities including dressage, western pleasure, gymkhana, and hunter/jumper events.  She has received Heritage Circuit Awards, a Prairie Cup Award and was a Mini Prix winner at the 2015 Oktoberfest Show at Spruce Meadows

Amber is enrolled in her second year at the University of Guelph in the Bachelor of Bio Resource Management Program majoring in Equine Management.  Her areas of interest are in breeding, rehabilitation, and event/facility management.
