To celebrate the everyday magic of being with horses — at shows, on trails, in pastures, or just hanging out at the barn — and to highlight the diverse experiences of SHF members across Saskatchewan. This contest strengthens community, showcases equestrian culture, and gives members a platform to be seen and heard. Through this initiative, SHF hopes to create a digital scrapbook of SHF members experience that reflects the freedom, joy, and connection our members experience with their horses.
CONTEST CATEGORIES
*In each of the following categories the SHF wishes to feature the bond between horses and members. We also want to showcase the widest variety of breeds and disciplines. There is no limit on the number of entries you can submit. So, the more you enter the better your chances of winning.

CONTEST RULES
1. AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS ONLY (Professional photographers are not eligible to enter): for the purpose of this contest an amateur is someone who earns no income from photography services/sales.
2. Submit entries digitally using this online form . All entries must be the work of the entrant, including editing. You may not submit photos taken by someone other than yourself. For consideration the images you submit should not have been previously submitted to or published by the SHF in the past.
3. There is no entry fee for the photo contest however A SHF membership is required by the person/photographer submitting the photo(s) .
4.Photos must be submitted in JPG, JPEG or PNG format.
5.Minimal amount of post processing is allowed in all categories. This would include editing such as cropping and minimal color correcting; along with brightness and contrast is allowed. Images can be submitted in color, black & White and Sepia tone.
6.The copyright of all images submitted remains solely with the photographer of the image. By submitting to the contest you (the photographer) are granting the SHF the use of your image(s) with photo credit; royalty free for the purposes of the SHF promotions such as on the SHF website, SHF Facebook/twitter pages, SHF E-News Blasts and SHF flyers/brochures/posters.
7.All entries must be suitable for public viewing. Entries deemed unsuitable for public viewing by SHF will not be judged or displayed.
8. It is required that all minors (18 years and under) that appear in a photo either riding a pony/horse be wearing a safety approved helmet.
Reminder – by sending in your photo(s), you are giving permission for SHF to use your photo (credited to you) in all SHF promotional material.
