Canadian Ranch Roping Association (CRRA) is a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports traditional ranch roping. The CRRA’s focus towards excellence in horsemanship, sportsmanship, and safety of rider, horse, and cattle is at the forefront of everything we do. We promote low-stress livestock handling using techniques that are used in the field and at ranch roping events. We strive to provide a positive and welcoming environment for all ranch roping enthusiasts, regardless of skill level or experience. We have the Open group for experienced ropers and Novice group for ropers who are learning the skills, but have some experience riding and roping. Our ranch ropings are hosted by our membership throughout the year at various arenas throughout Saskatchewan. Community is very important to us and we enjoy gathering together with friends and family, to hone our skills throwing loops of all kinds, both functional and fancy! We hold clinics at least twice a year for folks who are brand new to the sport, are interested in learning how to rope, work on their riding skills and want learn about what a ranch roping competition is all about. The clinicians are all experienced ranch ropers with years of working with cattle and horses.
